Lloyd Dix graduated with a B.A. degree from Emory University in 1978, and a J.D. from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific in 1983. Mr. Dix is a second generation collection attorney, and has been representing some of the most prestigious financial and healthcare creditors, and collections agencies for more than thirty years. In 1985, Mr. Dix was appointed to the CA State Senate, Advisory Commission on the Debt Collection Industry. In 1989 he began serving as Judge Tempore for the Los Angeles Superior Court. Mr. Dix has served on various committees on behalf of the CA Ass’n of Collectors, including terms as the Chairman of the Legislative Committee and the Judicial Council Committees. In 2010 he was retained as the Legal Advocate for the CA Association of Collectors. In 2011 he was named the MAP Chair for the State of CA for the American Collectors Ass’n, International, and was reappointed in 2013. He has qualified as an expert witness in both State and Federal proceedings, and has frequently represented the collection industry in various interviews.
